Our mission at the POB Low Vision Learning Center is to connect people with vision loss to the resources and services they need to help them maintain independence and quality of life.

Office HoursThe Low Vision Learning Center is not a store; The Center operates by appointment only - there are no set walk-in hours. However, our Resource and Information Hotline (301-951-4444) is always available during office hours (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, 11:00AM - 5:00PM) to answer any questions you may have! If outside of normal hours, call to leave a message - we will get back in touch as soon as we can. The LVLC staff is also available for community presentations at your Center. Call to schedule!
To Make an AppointmentAppointments are needed to visit the Center. Free of charge, they are available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, 11:00AM - 5:00PM.
A typical appointment can last 20 minutes to over an hour, and may include:

Inclement WeatherPolicyIf Montgomery County Public Schools are closed due to a weather emergency, the Low Vision Learning Center will also be closed. If inclement weather makes it imprudent for you to keep a scheduled appointment, please call us to reschedule.
